Bristol Results

Well, for those of you who missed it, and shame on you if you did (it's Bristol baby), here's what happened.  Hamlin and Kurt Busch started on the front row, so of course, I thought I was going to have a great race.  Kyle Busch started out back due to his spin out in qualifying and was going for the weekend sweep.  Kurt had his issues early and was in the garage multiple laps down.  Edwards and Jimmie Johnson lost engines ("Concrete Carl" had a great car too).  Hamlin, Harvick, Truex (who broke his wrist) and Keselowski all involved in a late race wreck mixed things up some too.  Mark Martin, in the 14 car for the rest of the season finished 20th.  Wait until he gets comfortable in that car.  But, at the end Kasey Kahne had a chance to retaliate against Joe Gibbs Racing and didn't take it, as he let several opportunities go by to move Kenseth out of the way for the win.  I would like to get your thoughts below on Kahne.
In other words, Brian back on top, Mark and myself losing ground.... pitiful.

In the Half Pool, new leader Joe S by 3 points over John M.  Debbie, climbing back to the top. And, can Janice D. be making a charge from the rear?  Have to keep a close eye on that.

Thats's all for now.  Remember Sunday night, Atlanta, ESPN.
Good Luck!

Michigan Results

Ok there Nascar Poolers,
This week saw a lot of movers and shakers after an interesting race at Michigan that saw Jimmie Johnson's back-up car expire and Dale Jr.'s tire blow.  All that and we have a mix up in the standings.  Gary is back on top and Brian falls to 2nd.  Colleen moves to 3rd in front of James. John leap frogs Mark and I to 5th.
Even though John, Mark and I may look to be out of it, since the half, last place has gained 76 points on 1st.  In only five weeks... 76 points.  Keep falling guys, you will come to us.

In the half pool, John M. takes the top spot over and Joe S. moves into second, bumping Brian down to 3rd.  Fourth place sits Mark, who usually just makes donations into this pool.  Will he hold on to a money spot??? Debbie, up four (4!!) spots to 6th place.  Making a run.  I keep going the wrong way.  Bryan M, don't worry, you still have time.

Remember, Bristol on Saturday night.  Gonna be a good one boys and girls!!!

Impressive Wrecks

I remember thinking... "Oh, crap, Mikey's gotta be dead"

First thing I thought of... "Wow, that reminds me of Mikey's wreck"

Watkins Glen

Hey there,

Here are the results from the road course at the glen. An exciting race, that saw Gordon, once a road course victor, slamming the wall. Marcos Ambrose, who we all thought would run away with this, wrecked when something broke on his car. A week that also resulted in Tony Stewart breaking his leg and maybe out for the season. A tie atop the standings and maybe a chance for the lead to shrink a bit.

In the half pool, big losers were those who had Gordon, Ambrose or Kahne. Still a nice battle brewing in this pool.

Enjoy Michigan on sunday,

Paul
