Results From Kansas

    Hey there boys and girls, exciting race there at the end of that Kansas race.  Harvick led most of the time and looked to be racking up another win, but Jeff Gordon, who took the lead on a restart, held off the last lap charge of Harvick for win number 89.   Brian wound up with an impressive high score of 130, extending his lead to 83 points.  Mark, with a great week, slides into second place and John (with McMurray's crash) falls 2 to 4th. 
   In the half pool, John picked Gordon and took that to moving up three spots to 3rd.  Jerry, who didn't have that bad of a week (18) fell three spots to 5th.  This is how close everyone is here.  Everybody in the top 10 has a legitimate chance.
   Well, enjoy the All-Star Race on Saturday night and then the Coke 600 next Sunday night (25th).
Also, for the remainder of this half, Kurt Busch is officially on the bench and Paul Menard is in.

Results From Talladega

    Hello everyone, the fastest track in the world claimed many victims this past weekend.  Many wrecks and an ending under the yellow flag was the story of this race.  Dale Junior who played it safe by hanging in the back, did avoid many wrecks, but when it came down to moving to the front for the win.... he got stuck in the back and finished 26th.  The poor finishes of the big stars also hurt many of us in both pools.  Everybody had at least one driver who ended the race somewhere in the back, except for Colleen, who scored her worst finish last week and followed it up with a high score this week.  I claimed low score (again) slipping further back.
   In the half pool, Mark had the winning pick, and keeps inching forward, now to 9th.  From 10th on back at this point, need big wrecks for us top 9 while you guys pick winners.... it could happen.

Results For Richmond

   Well, as they say, "better late than never".  Words to live by.  Richmond, short and sweet... great finish to another Goodyear debacle.  Beating and banging, fists thrown in the air, and a first for Nascar in a long time, some of those punches actually connected.  A tie in the big pool for high score this week (again) this time Brian and James.  Brian is running away with this thing (82 point lead)... better get some more to pad your lead for the half, buddy.  Colleen sinks lower, and a tight wad right there in the middle.
   In the half pool, halfway through and half of the contestants are right there in it.  Jerry with a big gain is now tied for first with me. And in third.... me.  My strategy picks are doing well this year, hanging with my deck of cards, random picks.  That's a first too!
   Good luck to everyone today in Talladega.  We all know how that usually works for our picks.

Results From Darlington

    Busy week this week and sorry for the delay in getting everyone the results from the Southern 500,  with Easter this weekend, Nascar has the week off so I wasn't going to rush to get these up here and possibly make a mistake.... sounds good, right?   A dominant race by Kevin Harvick with a tease at the end with the late cautions and different leaders.  Looked like Jimmie was going to break through, then it looked as if Junior was going to get win number two for the year, but in the end the fastest car won.  Mark was plagued with issues as Joey Logano had tire issues and Kasey Kahne wrecked.  Kurt Busch once again screwed me, this time we can blame Clint Bowyer.  But Brian with Harvick, Gordon and Edwards pads his point lead.  But look out, Gary, looking for the three-peat is closing in.
   In the half pool, Jerry and Brian both called for Harvick to win and this pool just got real tight as both of my picks had issues.  It's an 8 man race right now.

Results From Texas

     Alright, disappointed from the get-go that the race was held on Monday afternoon after watching hours and hours of interviews with wet drivers from their RV's. Disappointed that on lap 12 Dale Earnhardt Jr. couldn't see the grass and instead of just clipping it, he tore up his left front end, sending his car straight into the wall, catching fire and thus, finishing his day.  At least he had good company in the garage with Harvick, whose engine had blown on lap 28.  In the end though, Joey Logano beat Jeff Gordon, who had the lead on the last restart due to a smart two tire change to give him the lead.  Four tires had just a little bit more an edge.
     So, the big pool.  James got the brunt of Juniors error and finished with a 57, slipping to sixth and almost in Colleens grasp.  Since Kurt Busch got me again with poor handling and a blown tire, 65 points took me from 2nd to 4th.  Gary and John tied on top with a 107 and they both moved up one spot. 
     In the half pool, John L picked the winning driver, while Rich S lost big with Junior.  The Paul's sit in 4th and 5th, while this Paul sits 1st and 2nd.
     Remember, Saturday night at Darlington on Fox starting at 6:30 PM.
