Well, I must admit, with all going on in my life these days, I did not watch one single minute of this race. I do know (from turning on the tv at the right moment) that Denny Hamlin won. It would be hard for me to comment on this race, except for Nascar America (on MSNBC...shameless plug). I can tell you Hamlin spun early in the race, and that Johnson and Harvick rubbed fenders resulting in Harvick hitting wall pretty good relegating him to a 42nd place finish, whereas Johnson had a solid 11th place finish. This is all great news for John, who continues to have kick-butt weeks. James is solid too in second, and Brian is slowly catching me for third. Season end....now please.
In the half pool, Janice and John L picked Hamlin for the win, closing in on the first place spot. Good picking guys. Enjoy the race in Loudon this weekend!

Results From Richmond - Federated Auto Parts 400
Told you it was coming soon. As I cling on to third place for dear life, my buddy Mark slips now to fifth. I fear that I may too join him there, unless my team somehow decides to start racing now that we are in the chase. John, though, looks to be an unstoppable machine. Hopefully Harvick is correct and will snuff out team Gibbs. I like how James is silently creeping back in the fold here.
In half pool news, Rich is still leading the way, with myself in second, John M in third, John L fourth and Janice D. in 5th, all within striking distance.
Enjoy the race today in Chicago at 3:00 on NBCSN!

Results From Darlington - Bojangles' Southern 500
I know, you don't have to say it. I have been very busy though. If you know me, you know what I have been up to, factor in a trip to Richmond and wow, here I am, just a little late. All I remember about this race, was that it was some of the best racing I have seen in a long time. Hope Nascar continues to change aero packages at different tracks to give us as good racing.
Here you go, and check back soon to see Richmond's results!

Results From Bristol - Irwin Tools Night Race
Colleen is on the boards! The high week goes to her followed by James. James makes up a little ground as he closes in on me in second. Brian also had a good week as things tighten up from first to fifth. Gary just cannot seem to make a big cut into the leaders.
In the half pool, so many of us picked Kyle Busch, and though he didn't win, a solid 8th place finish for us. Except for Colleen, who had Menard, everyone had a top 20 finish. Slight movement as Rich S moves back into first by four points over me, and five points over John.
Labor Day Weekend will be the next race at Darlington. A treat for those that don't have cable, it will be televised on NBC on Sunday night.
Good luck to all!

Results From Michigan - Pure Michigan 400
Better late then never... Seems I start out that way a lot in this blog. Anyway, changes at the top in the big pool. The man that I predicted to win it all when we were done picking at the half, just took the lead. John is there and will not be looking back. The trio of Keselowski, Kenseth and Edwards are clicking at the right moment for him and Gary who has the next strongest team is so far back that I do not believe he will be a contender. Next up is Bristol and this track has been known to mix things up a bit.
In the half pool, John (soon to be renamed $$) is in first, with Rich S and myself, hot on his trails. Many people have Kyle Busch to win here, so we will see how it all pans out.
Good luck to all in Bristol on Saturday night.
